📮 Goodbye, junk drawer

HomeBase puts the paperwork of family life on autopilot.

Snap a photo of any household document — a warranty, an insurance card, a school form, a vehicle registration — and HomeBase extracts every deadline, files it in an encrypted family vault, and reminds the right person at the right time.

No credit card. No account. Everything stays on your device, encrypted.

One habit replaces the whole filing cabinet

Someone in every household carries the invisible load — tracking registrations, renewals, forms, and refills in their head. HomeBase carries it instead.

1

📷 Snap it

Photograph any document, upload an image, or paste text from an email. On-device OCR reads it in seconds.

2

✨ It becomes deadlines

HomeBase classifies the document, finds every expiration, renewal, and due date, and proposes reminders you confirm with one tap.

3

😌 Relax

The original is filed in your encrypted vault. Reminders escalate intelligently — a passport warns 6 months out, a permission slip 2 days.

Not another family calendar

Calendars only store what someone remembered to type. HomeBase owns the records-and-renewals layer underneath.

🗂️

Encrypted family vault

Every document filed, searchable, and encrypted on your device with a passphrase only your family knows.

Escalating reminders

Category-smart lead times: identity documents warn months ahead, school forms days ahead. Nothing sneaks up on you.

👪

Built for the whole household

One plan covers up to 6 members. Assign any deadline to the person who owns it — sensitive documents stay adults-only.

📅

Works with your calendar

Export deadlines with built-in alarms to Apple, Google, or Outlook calendars. HomeBase feeds the tools you already use.

🔐

Private by design

Local-first and end-to-end encrypted. No accounts, no ads, no tracking — your family's records never leave your device.

☁️

Sync via your own cloud

Optionally keep every family device up to date by storing your encrypted vault as a single file in your own Google Drive or OneDrive. HomeBase can only access the one file it creates — never your other files — and only you hold the key.

Optional AI boost

Built-in extraction works offline. Add your own Claude API key for even sharper reading of messy documents.

See what it caught for you

Every month, HomeBase shows you the invisible work it did — renewals caught early, late fees avoided, forms turned in on time.

✅ Auto policy renewal — caught 60 days early
✅ Field-trip form — submitted on time
🛡️ Nothing slipped through this month

Questions families ask

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your device, in an encrypted vault protected by your family passphrase. HomeBase has no servers, no accounts, and no way to see your documents. You can export an encrypted backup anytime.

How does Google Drive / OneDrive sync work?

Sync is optional and off by default. When you connect your own Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account, HomeBase stores one end-to-end-encrypted file there so your other devices can stay in sync. It uses the narrowest permission the provider offers (access only to files the app itself created), your passphrase never leaves your device, and the cloud provider only ever stores ciphertext. Disconnect anytime and you're back to local-only.

What happens when my trial ends?

You pick a plan to keep going. Your documents are never held hostage — exporting your full vault works even without an active plan.

Do reminders work when the app is closed?

In-app notifications fire while HomeBase is open. For always-on reminders, export your deadlines to your phone's calendar — every reminder stage becomes a built-in calendar alarm.

What kinds of documents does it understand?

Warranties, insurance policies and cards, school forms, vehicle registrations, prescriptions and medical cards, passports and IDs, receipts (return windows!), and subscription notices — plus anything else you want to file.

Can my kids see everything?

No. Documents marked sensitive — IDs, medical records — are hidden behind the adults' passphrase and show only as "Protected document" in shared views.
